Glow Run' is one of the most popular night running events in Chandigarh. With over 3200 participants in 2017 edition from across the country and borders, the Mega event has been the most talked about in the city's recent history.
The event is spread across four categories this time: An RFID chip-timed international standard half-marathon dubbed 'Run The Night', a 5 km 'Glow Run'. Two new categories are being introduced for 2018: a chip-timed competitive 10.55 km quarter marathon and a 2 km walk for those who want to soak in the energetic night experience!
The event garners a lot of attention because of the fact that the participants enjoy the night landscape of the city beautiful which in itself is a unique experience. This international standard running event has brought laurels to the city and is whole-heartedly supported by the Chandigarh Administration through the department of tourism, CITCO and Chandigarh Traffic Police.
'Run The Night - Glow Run' is not just a run-of-the-mill event but it stands for social causes by creating awareness. The event not only stands for the safety of women but also believes in empowering them to become stronger, healthier and safer. The awareness is achieved through various 'mini-events', public announcements and various digital, print and social media campaigns to bring about a positive change.
