Not only for the soldiers, a Bootcamp fitness technique is a to-do for all of us. Training cannot be effective in the absence of adequate restoration to provide the body time, resources and assistance to adapt to the imposed training stress.

 A fitness bootcamp is a type of group Physical training programme conducted by former military personnel, gyms and personal trainer. Earlier, when bootcamps were first introduced in United States, it was meant for the purpose of reforming prisoners, then soldiers and then overweight celebrities, teenagers and adults.

In 2009, The American Council on Exercise listed Bootcamp training to be one of the top exercise trends. Drastically, as the time went on, Bootcamps were considered tough-love approach to fitness different from the highly choreographed dance-inspired aerobic classes. These provide a different environment for those exercisers who get bored in gym and so find it hard to develop a habit of exercise. Activities that are included in a Bootcamp are agility, speed, resistance, endurance, balance and muscular abilities coordination. 

Bootcamp physical training programmes often commence with mobility and pulse-raising exercises, followed by a variety of interval training, lifting weights/objects, pulling rubber TRX straps, press-ups, sit-ups, plyometric exercises and other types of intense explosive routines. In essence, a boot camp workout is a type of interval training — bursts of intense activity alternated with intervals of lighter activity.  

As it is portable, one can do it anywhere and don’t require any equipment and is helpful for all the muscle groups.

Boot camp gives you the opportunity to break away from a routine of either no exercise or simply going through the motions with your usual session.  This can help if you’re wavering on the edge and not entirely sure if you want to take the Boot Camp training.
